How is PTO truly unlimited if leaders are notified when people take too much (whatever that means) PTO and will tell employees to not take more PTO? Isn’t that just limited PTO except instead of it being documented it’s just up to whether your leadership thinks you’ve been taking too much PTO and/or if they like you?

WLB is overrated. A lot on this platform are asking about WLB and I’m assuming most of them are below 5 YoE who are not ready work hard and learn as much they can early on in their careers.

Instead of focusing on WLB, focus on the culture of the org: how flexible they are with work timings, PTO, and their growth potential within the org.
